The Harman Kardon DMC 250 is a DVD player that also plays sound and image files stored on CDs, memory cards or USB drives, and records from CDs or its line-level audio. The DMC 250 makes it easy to transfer favorite music from the home to a car or portable audio player, without the need for a computer as well as recording from CD directly onto a flash card. The line-level input allows for convenient digitizing of media from turntables or other analog sources. The DMC 250 is engineered to deliver exceptional progressive-scan-picture and multichannel-audio quality with upconverted 1080p HDMI video output, and it plays back a wide variety of DVD and CD formats, as well as discs that contain JPEG image, Kodak® Picture CD, MP3 or Windows Media® Audio (WMA) files. Users can listen to a CD while recording, or transfer content to portable media at 4x-speed. The DMC 250 offers a host of additional useful features, and, like the DMC 1000, its software and firmware can be upgraded to accommodate future feature and performance enhancements or other capabilities.
The DMC 250, like the DMC 1000, was designed from the ground up by Harman Kardon. Both feature an intuitive on-screen user interface that offers total ease of operation and ready access to its numerous performance and convenience features. The DMCs allow for easy swapping of media files from a PC to the home theater and instant ripping of music CDs to any number of compatible flash cards without the need of a PC, providing the convenience for massive music storage on a tiny memory chip, a true modern replacement to the bulky modern disk changers.”
